Lakewold Gardens Presents the 11th Annual Beautiful Tables Showcase
LAKEWOOD, WA – At Lakewold Gardens, the arrival of fall does not equate hibernation or relaxation – it in fact means celebration. Lakewold Gardens will celebrate the art of entertaining with the 11th Annual Beautiful Tables Showcase Friday, November 6 – Sunday, November 8 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. To kick-off the holiday season, Lakewold hosts this annual event in honor of Mrs. Eulalie Wagner, the former owner and visionary behind the gardens who was duly noted as a consummate gardener and hostess. A fundraiser for the gardens, the showcase has now become a must see and favorite among our visitors.
Beautiful Tables Showcase presents 30 table decorators for the 2009 show. Over the course of three days, the Wagner House will be taken over by dozens of these beautiful table settings that range in theme and style – from a table titled “Ice Cream, Cake, and Candy” fit for a child’s birthday bash to an elegant setting that pays homage to the seasons, titled “The Reign of Autumn.” Designers will compete for top honors in four categories and each visitor participates by casting a vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award.
With a wonderful mix of professional and novice designers, guests can expect to see décor, ideas and designs that are unique and artistic. On Sunday, November 8 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm visitors will also be greeted with an incredible performance by Sweet Sounds Classical Trio, a musical group from Tacoma, WA.“This showcase is the perfect source of inspiration for visitors and a beautiful time of year at the gardens with the fall foliage,” says Irene Russo, Showcase Coordinator. Lakewold is pleased to provide a venue for local designers to display and express their creativity to the public.

Admission: $10 non-members $5 members and groups of 10+

Admission for our members and groups of 10 or more is $5 per person. Groups of 10 or more do require a reservation. Proceeds from this event will support the mission and maintenance of Lakewold Gardens.
