If you're lucky enough and patient enough to grow your own asparagus, apparently there are two ways to harvest it. You can either use a serrated blade to saw through the stem under the surface of the soil or
use a sharpened tip that slices through the spear under the soil. This unusual asparagus knife does both. After reading how it is painstakingly harvested, I'll appreciate it more.
Burgon and Ball says, the Asparagus Harvest Knife is "Forged from high carbon steel for durability and edge retention, with hardwood handle and leather hanging thong. Supplied with blade protection sleeve."
