"A bent triangular blade makes this handy for any kind of garden trenching and digging. It's a well made Japanese forged gardening tool with a sharp steel blade. The handle is about 14 inches long and the blade measures 6"" by 3"". The heft is in the blade end but it isn't too heavy to wield and maneuver. It's narrow enough for tight places. Good for seeds, bedding plants and bulbs. It is also used to make irrigation channels (a much underused form of irrigation even for the smaller garden)." According to one of my customers, also good for cutting around bricks and stones.
