Before I started using a moisture meter my house plants lasted about a week (slight exaggeration). Just like everyone else, I killed them with kindness and overwatering. This little "plant saver" makes overwatering practically impossible. The probe tells you immediately if your plant is moist or dry. No batteries needed and it comes with a list of 100 plants' watering needs so there isn't any guess work. It's great for outside plants too, especially containers and windowboxes.
