Yes, it's the Wedgie. I admit it. I ordered it for the name...but, guess what? It turns out it's a great tool! I do a lot of transplanting in my shop and not being the neatest transplanter, I throw dirt all over the place. This little gadget keeps my mess at a minimum. Just put it in the ground, rock it back and forth and pop in the transplant. The larger knob on the "hand end" makes it easy to grip, especially important for sufferers of carpal tunnel and arthritis. Bright yellow makes it tough to lose and its high impact plastic makes it indestructible.
Straight from the inventor: "I worked a number of garden center open houses this spring. Previous customers stopped by to tell me that in addition to using WEDGIE in their
containers, they're using it to make furrows for seeds & as a ground guard
to keep the hose off plants when watering. And then there was the lady
who said her husband used it to break into her car when she locked the
keys inside ("WEDGIE pushed the window down without breaking it but I
guess you better not let car thieves hear that.")
It's always fun to hear from the clever inventors.
