I am glad that I found a source for quality garden tools. I simply do not know where to find garden tools that are not "made in China," and that will not immediately fall apart. (I realize it's not really China's fault; it is the fault of our manufacturers that do not demand better quality). I especially am glad am to see that you have a few Japanese garden tools available. However, even in Japan, they are going the way of the U.S., and they are sacrificing quality for price and more and more things are being made in China, less in Japan. Now to the point of my e-mail: I would like to see a wider selection of quality-made garden tools.

Thank you for the nice and personalized note -- a rare treat.   My longtime favorite garden tool has been a short-handled weeder that I got from Smith and Hawaken years back.  It is wearing out and I found that with the changes in S&H, they no longer carry that tool (and, in fact, seem to have deemphasized tools all together).  This led me to you on-line.  These Japanese hoes appear to take a similar appraoch (they were probably the progenitor to the S&H weeder).  I look forward to getting them and having a chance to try them in the garden.  I am glad to have found your site and appreciate your quick service and response.

Thanks for the notification, Vickie. That trowel was my all-time-favorite gardening tool until my husband ran over it with the tractor. My Mom (Helen Dykhoff, another one of your customers) gave me mine, so now I'm replacing it and giving one to a couple friends.

Got my package yesterday. Great job and very quick. I love this tool. I have given several to my gardening friends. I have a back problem so it doubles as a crutch to help me get up off the ground. I got a little nervous when I saw the box ...It was open on one end. It looked as though it was taped securely but I think someone might have opened it. All were intact however. Thank you for your personal note. It was very nice to receive. I am a new gardener but things are finally coming together for me and I have one project after another in mind. Last year I invested for the first time in good tools, the felco pruner and the hori hori knife and I could not believe how much more joyful the work became for me. So I looked through your tools and over a period of time really studied them to decide which I really needed to buy. I wasn't quite sure. So I am really glad to hear that I chose some very good ones. I am really glad you let me know this.

Thank you also for using a flat rate box and saving me some money. That happened to run through my mind at one point in the process. I appreciate the trouble you went through.

Rec'd the second Trake....these are gifts (I discovered this tool years ago at LL Bean and I love it). The gloves are new to me and they are fantastic. I never wore gloves before as they are baggy, the dirt gets in the cuffs, etc. They were a bother for a get-down-on-your-knees-and-dig gardener like me. I wore them for 3 hours and never felt the need to rip then off! I may actually be able to grow modest fingernails!

i was very happy to find your site. it has been very hard for me to find the tree wrap around here. i have looked at home depot, lowes and poor boys, and valley view. finally gave up. I have some new trees that need it to keep the rabbits from eating the bark. i have thei one really special tree, it is a dawn redwood. When my bother gave it to me , ( he didn't know what it was ) it was in a pot and about 1 foot tall. i have transplanted it into the grown after doing a lot of research on it. It had s grown to 7 feet tall since may. It has a rich history. look up dawn redwood on the Internet. I had to put a fence around it because the rabbits were eating the bark..

it is so beautiful and i look at it almost as a family member..LOL
