Felco #9's are for lefties. They are the left handed version of the Felco #8's which were redesigned Felco#2's...Bottom line, the Felco #9's are ergonomically designed and, just like the other Felco's are made to last forever. You really can't go wrong with Felco's. As of 2016, I have had mine for 33 years when I paid the whopping sum of $39.95 which was exorbitant at the time. I haven't changed the blade...I've just sharpened them occasionally. They have been through 2 nursery jobs and my home gardening.
